Description
A missing permission check in Jenkins MCP Server Plugin 0.177.v629fdb_2557fe and earlier allows attackers with Item/Read permission to read the Pipeline replay scripts of jobs they can access.
A vulnerability exists in Jenkins MCP Server Plugin versions through 0.177.v629fdb_2557fe, where a missing permission check allows users with Item/Read permission to access the Pipeline replay scripts of jobs they can view. This issue arises because the plugin's MCP tool, 'getReplayScripts', does not properly verify permissions before returning the replay scripts of Pipeline builds.
Users of Jenkins MCP Server Plugin should update to version 0.178.vffe5a_e770f3b_, which requires Item/Extended Read permission to access Pipeline replay scripts through the 'getReplayScripts' MCP tool.
