Description
A security flaw has been discovered in Totolink A7100RU 7.4cu.2313_b20191024. Impacted is the function CsteSystem of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. Performing a manipulation of the argument resetFlags results in os command injection. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in the Totolink A7100RU router, specifically in the 7.4cu.2313_b20191024 version. The issue arises in the CsteSystem function within the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands by manipulating the resetFlags parameter. The injection occurs because the user-supplied input is directly embedded into a command string and executed without proper sanitization. As a result, an attacker can gain root access on the device, potentially compromising the entire network to which the router is connected.
