Description
Improper control of generation of code in the JSON Pointer-to-accessor compiler in Cribl Stream before 4.18.2 allows a remote authenticated attacker with edit privileges to execute arbitrary JavaScript on the server via a crafted database connection identifier or pack configuration value.
A vulnerability in Cribl Stream versions prior to 4.18.2 allows remote authenticated attackers with edit privileges to execute arbitrary JavaScript on the server. This issue arises from improper control over code generation in the JSON Pointer-to-accessor compiler, which can be exploited by sending a crafted database connection identifier or pack configuration value.
Users are advised to upgrade Cribl Stream to version 4.18.2 or higher. Instructions for upgrading can be found in the Cribl Stream release notes.
