Description
Dell PowerFlex Manager, Version prior to 5.1.0.1, contain(s) an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability during OS Repository processing to achieve arbitrary command execution as root, potentially leading to full appliance compromise and lateral movement into managed infrastructure.
A vulnerability allowing OS command injection has been identified in Dell PowerFlex Manager versions prior to 5.1.0.1. This vulnerability arises from improper neutralization of special elements used in OS commands. A high-privileged attacker with remote access could exploit this issue during OS Repository processing to execute arbitrary commands as root. Such exploitation could lead to a complete compromise of the appliance and allow lateral movement within the managed infrastructure.
Users can upgrade to Dell PowerFlex Manager version 5.1.0.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
