Description
HCL iControl was affected by Information Exposure Through Verbose Client-Side API Error Messages vulnerabilities. It involves application displays raw server/API error messages to users instead of generic error messages and exposes internal endpoint names, request parameters, error codes, and authentication status
A vulnerability in HCL iControl v4.4.0 allows for information exposure through detailed client-side API error messages. Instead of providing generic error responses, the application reveals raw server or API error details to users. This includes internal endpoint names, request parameters, error codes, and authentication status, potentially aiding attackers in exploiting other vulnerabilities or understanding the application's internal workings.
Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of HCL iControl, version 4.5.0.
