A remote code execution vulnerability has been identified in SiYuan versions prior to 3.6.1. The issue arises from the application's Bazaar marketplace, which fails to properly sanitize package metadata and README content. This oversight allows malicious package authors to inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript. Exploitation occurs when users browse the Bazaar, with the injected scripts executing due to Electron's nodeIntegration setting, thereby executing OS commands on the user's machine.
Users are advised to update to SiYuan version 3.6.1 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
