CVE-2026-56348 Details
Description
n8n before 2.20.0 contains a credential exfiltration vulnerability in the POST /rest/dynamic-node-parameters/options endpoint that allows authenticated users to bypass Allowed HTTP Request Domains restrictions. Attackers with credential access can cause the n8n server to issue HTTP requests with credentials to unauthorized hosts, exfiltrating sensitive authentication data.
A credential exfiltration vulnerability has been identified in n8n versions prior to 2.20.0. This vulnerability exists in the POST /rest/dynamic-node-parameters/options endpoint, where authenticated users can bypass Allowed HTTP Request Domains restrictions. As a result, attackers with access to certain credentials can manipulate the n8n server into sending HTTP requests, including those credentials, to unauthorized hosts, thereby exfiltrating sensitive authentication data.
Users are advised to upgrade to n8n version 2.20.0 or later. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, access to n8n should be restricted to trusted users only, and credential sharing should be limited to those who genuinely need it.
