Description
Capgo before 12.128.12 fails to filter deleted app versions when joining channels during /updates resolution, allowing deleted bundles to remain selectable. Attackers can continue deploying deleted bundles to devices by exploiting the missing app_versions.deleted filter in channel version joins.
A vulnerability exists in Capgo versions prior to 12.128.12, where the application fails to properly filter deleted app versions during the update resolution process. This oversight allows deleted bundles to remain selectable and deployable to devices. The issue arises because the deletion process marks versions as deleted without removing their references from channels. As a result, devices can still access these deleted versions through the updates endpoint, leading to potential misuse by deploying unwanted or problematic bundles.
Users can update to Capgo version 12.128.12 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
