Description
Incorrect Authorization (CWE-863) in Kibana can lead to unauthorized information disclosure via Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs (CAPEC-1). Under certain conditions, a low-privileged authenticated user can access response action data that they are not authorized to view.
A vulnerability exists in Elastic Defend versions 8.6.0 prior to 8.19.12 and 9.0.0 prior to 9.2.6, 9.3.0 prior to 9.3.1. This vulnerability allows a low-privileged authenticated user to access response action data that they are not authorized to view, due to incorrect authorization not properly constrained by access control lists (ACLs).
Users can upgrade to Elastic Defend versions 8.19.13, 9.2.7, or 9.3.2 to address this vulnerability. For users unable to upgrade, no workarounds are available.
