Description
A vulnerability has been found in Belkin F9K1015 1.00.10. Affected by this issue is the function formWISP5G of the file /goform/formWISP5G. Such manipulation of the argument webpage leads to stack-based buffer overflow. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Belkin F9K1015 router, specifically in version 1.00.10. The issue arises in the 'formWISP5G' function within the '/goform/formWISP5G' file, where user-supplied input in the 'webpage' parameter is not properly validated before being copied to a buffer. This lack of length checking allows for the overflow to occur, potentially leading to a denial-of-service condition or arbitrary code execution.
