Description
A shellcode injection in the mercurial handler of the obs tar_scm source service before version 0.12.4 could be used by attackers able to provide a _service file to execute code as the source service or the local user checking out the malicious services
A shellcode injection vulnerability has been identified in the Mercurial handler of the openSUSE OBS tar_scm source service, affecting versions prior to 0.12.4. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute code by providing a malicious service file, with the executed code running as the source service or the local user checking out the compromised services.
Users can upgrade to openSUSE OBS tar_scm version 0.12.4 or later to address this vulnerability.
