Description
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.23.0 and 15.112.0, TarSlip RCE was possible in Package Import because tarfile members were not sufficiently checked before extraction. This issue is fixed in versions 16.23.0 and 15.112.0.
A remote code execution vulnerability has been identified in the Frappe Framework, specifically in versions prior to 16.23.0 and 15.112.0. The issue arises in the Package Import feature, where tarfile members were not properly validated before extraction, allowing for malicious code execution.
Users can update to Frappe Framework versions 16.23.0 or 15.112.0 to address this vulnerability.
