CVE-2026-55474 Details
Description
Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.5.0, ActionlogController::displaySig concatenates the route filename parameter into a private upload-directory path without sanitization, allowing an authenticated attacker to traverse outside the intended directory and read arbitrary files accessible to the web server process. This issue is fixed in version 8.5.0.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in Snipe-IT versions prior to 8.5.0. The issue arises in the ActionlogController's displaySig method, where the route filename parameter is concatenated into a private upload directory path without proper sanitization. This flaw enables authenticated attackers to traverse outside the designated directory and access arbitrary files that are reachable by the web server process.
Users are advised to update to Snipe-IT version 8.5.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
