Description
DriveLock Directory Traversal Information Disclosure Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of DriveLock. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the web service, which listens on TCP port 4568 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose information in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-28746.
A directory traversal vulnerability allowing remote information disclosure has been identified in DriveLock Enterprise Service (DES) versions through 24.2.8, 25.1.6, and 25.2.3. The vulnerability arises from improper validation of user-supplied file paths in the web service, which operates on TCP port 4568 by default. This flaw enables attackers to access sensitive files outside the intended directory structure, exploiting the issue in the context of the service account.
Users are advised to update to DriveLock versions 24.2.9, 25.1.7, or 25.2.4, where this vulnerability has been patched.
