Description
CubeCart is an ecommerce software solution. Prior to 6.7.5, the reset_id download-counter action and delete_card stored-payment-card action in admin/sources/orders.index.inc.php use state-changing GET requests and are omitted from the protection map in admin/skins/default/csrf.inc.php. A remote attacker can induce an authenticated administrator to issue one of these requests without a validated session token, causing unintended resets of electronic download usage counters or deletion of stored customer payment-card tokens. This issue is fixed in version 6.7.5.
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in CubeCart versions prior to 6.7.5. The issue arises in the order management interface, specifically within the 'admin/sources/orders.index.inc.php' file. Two actions, 'reset_id' for downloading counters and 'delete_card' for removing stored payment cards, are executed via GET requests. These actions were not included in the CSRF protection map, leaving authenticated administrators vulnerable to social engineering attacks that could manipulate them into unintentionally resetting download counters or deleting payment card tokens.
Users can update to CubeCart version 6.7.5, which includes the necessary CSRF protection for the affected actions.
