CVE-2026-54277 Details
Description
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.1, it is possible to bypass the max_line_size check in parts of an HTTP request in the C parser. If using the optimised C parser (the default in pre-built wheels), then an attacker may be able to send oversized lines through the HTTP parser and use an excessive amount of memory, potentially leading to DoS. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.14.1.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in AIOHTTP versions through 3.14.0. The issue arises in the optimized C HTTP parser, which is the default in pre-built wheels. The vulnerability allows attackers to bypass the max_line_size check for fragmented request targets and response reason phrases. This can be exploited by sending oversized lines that accumulate beyond the allowed limit, leading to excessive memory usage and potential denial-of-service conditions.
Users can upgrade to AIOHTTP version 3.14.1 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
