Description
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.05.1, the spreadsheet-import endpoint axiosRequestMake could be used as a generic HTTP proxy. Before the fix it was reachable unauthenticated, and its URL-extension allowlist was a regex tested against the full URL string, so URLs whose query string ended in .csv satisfies the gate even though the underlying request is for another file. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.05.1.
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability has been identified in NocoDB versions through 2026.05.0. The issue arises in the spreadsheet-import endpoint 'axiosRequestMake', which could be exploited as a generic HTTP proxy. Prior to the fix in version 2026.05.1, the endpoint was accessible without authentication. Its URL-extension allowlist was a regex applied to the full URL string, allowing URLs with a query string ending in '.csv' to bypass restrictions, even if the actual request was for a different file. This vulnerability could have been exploited to make unauthorized HTTP requests, including to internal services from the host.
Users can upgrade to NocoDB version 2026.05.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
