Description
OpenClaw before 2026.4.29 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the QQBot streaming command that allows authenticated senders to mutate configuration without explicit allowFrom restrictions. Attackers can modify QQBot streaming configuration outside intended admin policy by reaching the affected command without non-wildcard allowlist entry requirements.
An authorization bypass vulnerability has been identified in OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.4.29, specifically within the QQBot streaming command. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to modify configuration settings without the necessary allowFrom restrictions. As a result, attackers can alter QQBot streaming configurations in ways that contradict the intended administrative policies, by accessing the command without a specific non-wildcard allowlist entry.
Users are advised to update to OpenClaw version 2026.4.29 or later. Until the update is applied, the affected command can be disabled or restricted to trusted QQBot senders. As a general practice, keep channel and tool allowlists narrow, avoid sharing one Gateway between untrusted users, and disable unnecessary features.
