CVE-2026-53436 Details
Description
Jenkins 2.567 and earlier, LTS 2.555.2 and earlier improperly determines that a redirect URL after login is legitimately pointing to Jenkins when it contains relative path segments (`./` or `../`), allowing attackers to perform phishing attacks.
An open redirect vulnerability has been identified in Jenkins versions through 2.567 and LTS versions through 2.555.2. This vulnerability arises because Jenkins improperly validates redirect URLs after login, allowing attackers to redirect users to malicious sites. The issue is particularly pronounced when URLs contain relative path segments, which can be exploited to create phishing attacks.
Users of Jenkins weekly should update to version 2.568, and users of Jenkins LTS should update to version 2.555.3. These versions include the necessary fix for this vulnerability.
