CVE-2026-51291 Details
Description
Rejected reason: DO NOT USE THIS CVE RECORD. ConsultIDs: none. Reason: This record was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: none.
A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in SQLite version 3.41 within the JSON cache management module. The issue arises in the jsonCacheInsert function, where the internal JSON parse cache, limited to four entries, improperly handles memory during the eviction of cached objects. This flaw allows remote attackers to exploit the vulnerability by sending oversized, malformed JSON payloads through SQL JSON functions, leading to a segmentation fault, exposure of sensitive heap data, and potentially arbitrary code execution if the memory layout can be manipulated.
Users can upgrade to SQLite version 3.41.1 or any subsequent release, where this vulnerability has been patched.
