A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the schreibfaul1 ESP32-audioI2S library version 3.4.5. The issue arises in the AudioBuffer::writeSpace() function, where an unsafe fixed-size memory copy operation is performed. The function copies a full UINT16_MAX bytes to the ring buffer's start address without validating whether the destination has enough available space. This flaw allows for out-of-bounds memory writes, leading to heap corruption.
