A vulnerability in the schreibfaul1 ESP32-audioI2S library, specifically in version 3.4.5, has been identified. The issue arises from an unchecked unsigned integer overflow in the buffer size calculation, which leads to an undersized allocation for PSRAM buffers. This flaw causes heap out-of-bounds access during normal audio processing, resulting in memory corruption, a denial-of-service condition, and potentially allowing for arbitrary code execution.
