CVE-2026-51254 Details
Description
Rejected reason: DO NOT USE THIS CVE RECORD. ConsultIDs: none. Reason: This record was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: none.
A signed integer underflow vulnerability has been identified in version 3.4.5 of schreibfaul1's ESP32-audioI2S library. The issue arises in the MP3Decoder::GetBits() function, where unchecked bit reading operations allow the cachedBits counter to underflow to negative values. This flaw can lead to invalid bit manipulation, incorrect parsing of the bitstream, application crashes, or even arbitrary code execution when a specially crafted MP3 file is processed.
A vendor patch is currently in development, but no fixed version has been released yet.
