CVE-2026-51235 Details
Description
Rejected reason: DO NOT USE THIS CVE RECORD. ConsultIDs: none. Reason: This record was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: none.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in LibRaw version 0.21. This issue arises in the stretch() function within src/libraw_cxx.cpp and the fuji_rotate() function in src/decoders/fuji.cpp. The vulnerability allows attackers to manipulate header metadata, including pixel aspect ratios and image dimensions, in a crafted RAW file, such as those in Fuji RAF format. When processed by an application using the vulnerable LibRaw version, these manipulations cause unsafe arithmetic and improper variable handling, leading to insufficient buffer allocation and unchecked memory writes. The exploitation of this vulnerability results in heap memory corruption, causing a denial-of-service condition through application crashes, and potentially allowing arbitrary code execution.
