CVE-2026-51221 Details
Description
A buffer overflow in the Get_Attribute_List function of EIPStackGroup OpENer commit 76b95c allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted Common Packet Format (CPF) packet.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in EIPStackGroup OpENer version 2.3.0, specifically in the Get_Attribute_List function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service by sending a crafted Common Packet Format (CPF) packet. The issue arises when the application fails to properly validate the length of the CPF data, allowing for an oversized response to be written into a buffer without adequate size checks. This memory corruption leads to a server-side crash.
