Description
A heap buffer overflow in the TS7Worker::PerformFunctionWrite() function (/core/s7_server.cpp) of snap7 v1.4.3 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted packet.
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Snap7 version 1.4.3. The issue arises in the TS7Worker::PerformFunctionWrite() function within the S7 server component. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service condition by sending a crafted packet that exploits improper handling of S7 WriteVar requests. The server crashes as a result of the malformed packet being parsed, leading to an out-of-bounds read and subsequent memory corruption.
