Cross Site Scripting vulnerability in za-internet GmbH C-MOR Video Surveillance <= V6.0104 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via the size parameter in ptzpreset.pml component and the showmovies.pml component
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in C-MOR Video Surveillance software by za-internet GmbH, affecting all versions through V6.0104. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting the size parameter in the ptzpreset.pml and show-movies.pml components. The issue arises because the web interface fails to properly validate or sanitize user input, allowing malicious JavaScript to be injected and executed in the context of the logged-in user.
Users should update to a version of C-MOR Video Surveillance that is later than V6.0104. Additionally, restrict access to the surveillance system via VPN or a secure management network, segment camera networks into separate VLANs, and educate administrators to manually enter URLs instead of clicking on links.
