Description
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows GDI+ allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Windows GDI+. This vulnerability allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code remotely over a network. The issue arises when the system processes specially crafted EMF+ files containing malicious image records. The improper handling of the image data can lead to memory corruption by writing beyond the allocated memory bounds, potentially allowing for arbitrary code execution.
