Description
Stack-based buffer overflow in Active Directory Federation Services allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). This vulnerability allows an unauthorized attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition over the network.
Users can download the security update for this vulnerability via the Microsoft Update Catalog. Security update KB5099538 is available for Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems. For Windows Server 2012 R2, the security update is included in the monthly rollup. Windows Server 2025 and Windows Server 2022 also have security updates available.
