Description
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Windows Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the Windows Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS). This vulnerability allows an authorized attacker to cause uncontrolled resource consumption, leading to a denial of service over the network.
Users can apply the security update KB5099538 for Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based and 32-bit Systems, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, and various versions of Windows 11. For Windows Server 2025, the security update KB5099536 is available. Instructions for downloading these security updates can be found in the Microsoft Update Catalog.
