Description
An improper access check allows privileged users to overwrite media files without editing permissions.
A vulnerability exists in Joomla! CMS versions 4.1.0 prior to 5.4.6 and 6.0.0 prior to 6.1.1, allowing privileged users to overwrite media files without the necessary editing permissions. This issue stems from an improper access check in the com_media component's webservice endpoints.
Users are advised to upgrade to Joomla! CMS version 5.4.7 or 6.1.2.
