Description
A Joomla user with K2 "create item" rights (Author tier by default) can submit an article whose `embedVideo` POST field contains a raw `<script>` tag; K2 stores it verbatim and renders it unescaped to any visitor of the article page.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the K2 component for Joomla. This issue affects users with K2 'create item' rights, typically those at the Author tier. The vulnerability arises when an article is submitted with the 'embedVideo' POST field containing a raw '<script>' tag. K2 stores this input verbatim and renders it unescaped on the article page, exposing visitors to potential script execution.
