Description
An improper authorization vulnerability in the Plesk XML API allows an authenticated user to inject arbitrary configuration directives, resulting in arbitrary file write as root and full privilege escalation on the underlying server.
A vulnerability allowing improper authorization in the Plesk XML API has been identified. This issue allows an authenticated user to inject arbitrary configuration directives, resulting in unauthorized file writes as root and full privilege escalation on the server. The vulnerability affects Plesk versions prior to 18.0.30.
Users can update to Plesk versions 18.0.30 or later to address this vulnerability. If an update is not possible, the Plesk XML API can be disabled as a temporary mitigation.
