Description
Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in Apache Thrift C++, Java, Python, Go, D, C/GLib bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.24.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.24.0, which fixes the issue.
A vulnerability allowing improper handling of highly compressed data, leading to data amplification, has been identified in Apache Thrift. This issue affects the C++, Java, Python, Go, D, and C/GLib bindings of Apache Thrift versions prior to 0.24.0. The vulnerability arises from an improper size limit in the decompression process, which can be exploited by sending highly compressed data that expands significantly during decompression.
Users are advised to upgrade to Apache Thrift version 0.24.0 or later, which addresses this vulnerability.
