Description
Use after free in Windows App Installer allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the Windows App Installer. This vulnerability allows an authorized attacker to locally elevate privileges. The issue arises from improper memory management, leading to a use-after-free condition that can be exploited to gain higher privileges on the system.

Security update KB5095051 is available for Windows 11 versions 23H2, 24H2, 25H2, and 26H1, as well as for Windows Server 2025. For Windows 11 version 26H1, the build number is 10.0.28000.2269.
