Description
Untrusted search path in Windows Narrator Braille allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A vulnerability has been identified in Windows Narrator Braille that allows an authorized attacker to locally elevate privileges. This issue arises from an untrusted search path, which could be exploited to gain SYSTEM privileges.
To address this vulnerability, Microsoft recommends installing the latest BRLTTY feature update. This update can be downloaded through the Windows Accessibility settings by navigating to: Settings → Accessibility → Narrator → Use Braille display → Download BRLTTY. After installation, ensure that the latest available update is applied to receive the security fix and associated protections.
