Description
Bridge is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary file system read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to access sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Bridge, specifically in versions through 15.1.6 (LTS) and 16.0.5. This vulnerability allows for arbitrary file system read access, enabling an attacker to exploit it by accessing sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope. The exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.
Users are advised to update to Adobe Bridge version 15.1.7 (LTS) or 16.0.6. These updates can be downloaded from the Adobe Bridge Download Page or via the Creative Cloud desktop app's update mechanism.
