Description
Format Plugins is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Format Plugins, affecting versions through 2026.05. This vulnerability could allow arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.
Users are advised to update to Adobe Format Plugins version 2026.07, available through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app or the Adobe Download Center. For managed environments, IT administrators can deploy the update using the Admin Console.
