Description
Media Encoder is affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds write has been identified in Adobe Media Encoder. This issue could lead to arbitrary code execution within the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability affects Adobe Media Encoder versions 26.2.2 and earlier, as well as 25.6.5 and earlier, on both Windows and macOS.
Users are advised to update Adobe Media Encoder to version 26.3 or 25.6.6. For managed environments, IT administrators can deploy these updates using the Adobe Admin Console.
