Description
Animate is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploit depends on conditions beyond the attacker's control. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. Scope is changed.
A vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Animate, specifically in the 2023 version through 23.0.15 and the 2024 version through 24.0.13, on both Windows and macOS. This vulnerability arises from incorrect authorization, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution within the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.
Users are advised to update Adobe Animate to version 23.0.16 for the 2023 release or version 24.0.14 for the 2024 release. These updates are available through the Adobe Download Center. For IT administrators, Creative Cloud applications can be deployed to end users via the Admin Console.
