Description
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.0, the webhook schema-building endpoint is registered under builderRoutes, but the generic authorization middleware skips authorization for all paths matching /api/webhooks/schema. As a result, an unauthenticated caller can update the body schema for a known webhook and mutate the corresponding automation trigger output schema. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.0.
A vulnerability exists in Budibase, an open-source low-code platform, prior to version 3.39.0. The issue arises because the webhook schema-building endpoint is included in the builderRoutes, but the authorization middleware fails to enforce authorization for paths matching '/api/webhooks/schema'. This oversight allows an unauthenticated caller to update the body schema for a specific webhook, thereby altering the output schema of the associated automation trigger. The vulnerability can disrupt automation workflows and corrupt automation definitions visible in the Budibase builder.
Users should update to Budibase version 3.39.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
