Description
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.20.0 and 15.110.0, users without write access could attach files to any doctype through file-handling API endpoints such as add_attachments. This issue is fixed in versions 16.20.0 and 15.110.0.
A vulnerability in the Frappe web application framework allows users without write access to attach files to any doctype via file-handling API endpoints, such as 'add_attachments'. This issue affects Frappe versions prior to 16.20.0 and 15.110.0. The vulnerability arises from insufficient restrictions on file uploads from guest users, who can attach files to doctypes not explicitly allowed.
Users can update to Frappe versions 16.20.0 or 15.110.0, where this vulnerability has been patched.
