Description
ColdFusion versions 2023.19, 2025.8 and earlier are affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerable component is restricted to an administrative network zone by default. Scope is changed.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Adobe ColdFusion versions 2023.19, 2025.8 and earlier. This vulnerability allows low-privileged attackers to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim accesses the page containing the compromised field, the injected JavaScript could be executed in their browser, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure.
Users are advised to update to ColdFusion 2023 Update 20 or ColdFusion 2025 Update 9. For more information on applying these updates, refer to the Adobe ColdFusion Security Bulletin APSB26-64.
