Description
nebula-mesh is a self-hosted control plane for Slack Nebula mesh virtual private network. Prior to version 0.3.1, none of the response paths in `internal/web/` or `internal/api/` set the standard browser-security headers. `grep` for `Content-Security-Policy`, `X-Frame-Options`, `Strict-Transport-Security`, `X-Content-Type-Options`, `Referrer-Policy` returns zero matches across the codebase. Version 0.3.1 fixes the issue.
A vulnerability exists in Nebula Mesh versions prior to 0.3.1, where the web UI and API responses do not include standard security headers. This omission can lead to clickjacking, MIME sniffing, referrer leakage, and, in TLS deployments, a protocol downgrade risk. The vulnerability is present in the internal web and API response paths.
Users can upgrade to Nebula Mesh version 0.3.1, which addresses this vulnerability by adding the necessary security headers. Instructions for downloading this version are available in the Nebula Mesh README.
