Description
Self Cross-Site Scripting (Self-XSS) vulnerability in the RD Station Conversas chat feature. The vulnerability lies in the ‘name’ parameter of the initialisation process due to incorrect sanitisation of user-supplied input. Exploitation allows specially crafted JavaScript code to be injected, which is executed within the context of the user’s own session who provides the payload. The demonstrated impact is limited to the user who enters and executes the payload.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the RD Station Conversas Tallos Chat application. This issue arises from improper input sanitization in the 'name' parameter during the initialization process, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability can affect not only the individual who initiates the script injection but also support agents who join the conversation, as the injected script executes in their browsers as well. Exploitation of this vulnerability could enable the execution of arbitrary JavaScript code within the application's context.
