Description
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.04.1, sign-in response timing differed between known and unknown email addresses because the unknown-user branch returned without performing a password hash comparison. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.04.1.
A user enumeration vulnerability has been identified in NocoDB versions prior to 2026.04.1. The issue arises because the sign-in response timing varies between known and unknown email addresses. For unknown addresses, the response is faster as it bypasses the password hash comparison. This vulnerability allows a network-positioned attacker to infer the existence of registered email addresses by analyzing the timing of sign-in responses. Exploitation requires the ability to send unauthenticated sign-in requests.
Users can upgrade to NocoDB version 2026.04.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
