Description
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.05.1, the shared-view password check fell back to strict-equality (===) comparison for legacy plaintext passwords, leaking the password's length and per-character prefix through response timing. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.05.1.
A timing oracle vulnerability has been identified in NocoDB versions prior to 2026.05.1. The issue arises in the shared-view password check, which incorrectly used strict-equality comparison for legacy plaintext passwords. This flaw allowed a network-positioned attacker to infer the length of the password and its per-character prefix by measuring response times. The vulnerability affects shared views with passwords created before the migration to bcrypt hashing.
Users can upgrade to NocoDB version 2026.05.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
