Description
The Charts Ninja: Create Beautiful Graphs & Charts and Easily Add Them to Your Website plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'chartid' shortcode attribute in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Charts Ninja WordPress plugin, specifically in versions through 2.1.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'chartid' shortcode attribute. These injected scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.
No known patch is available. It is recommended to uninstall the affected plugin and find a replacement.
