Description
Inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere in Visual Studio Code allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A vulnerability in the Visual Studio Code MSSQL extension allows unauthorized attackers to locally elevate privileges. This issue arises from the inclusion of functionality from an untrusted control sphere, which could be exploited to gain SYSTEM privileges. The vulnerability requires user interaction, as an enticing malicious file must be opened in Visual Studio Code.
