Description
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird ESR 140.8, Firefox 148 and Thunderbird 148. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9.
A vulnerability exists in multiple Mozilla products, including Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird ESR 140.8, Firefox 148, and Thunderbird 148. These applications contain memory safety bugs that could lead to memory corruption. With sufficient effort, it is presumed that some of these bugs could be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
Users can upgrade to Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird ESR 140.9, Firefox 149, or Thunderbird 149 to address this vulnerability.
